Sunday, September 30

The Cape Land and Sea Harvest culminates on Sunday with a farmers' market and the Cape Cod Oyster Festival, both being held on the waterfront in downtown Hyannis,
rain or shine.

The farmers' market, which will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Aselton Park, will offer customers the last opportunity of the season to purchase locally harvested produce, flowers and herbs, baked goods, honey, beeswax candles, and handmade personal grooming products. Live music will fill the air and there will be a lot of fun activities for the whole family including pumpkin decorating, apple bobbing, and face painting. "The Jazz Group" is a quartet of music-loving friends with a yen for jazz. They've entertained crowds at numerous parties on the Cape, bringing smiles to people's faces with their dynamic ensemble playing. Enjoy Mark Albro on trumpet, Sharon Pfeiffer on keyboard, Mike Hale on bass, and Rick Vought on the trap set. A complimentary shuttle service will be running between downtown parking areas and the waterfront all day.

Nearby at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, the Sixth Annual Cape Cod Oyster Festival will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Feast on raw, fried, baked, roasted, and stewed oysters prepared by local restaurants, and sample wines from the best vineyards in the world. Proceeds benefit the Cape & Islands United Way. You can purchase advance tickets for the Oyster Festival by calling 508-775-4746.
